As part of my senior capstone, I conducted interviews via an anonymous google form. I created and printed out a QR code for the form, and hung them all over campus in order to get a diverse array of responses. From there, I compiled and analyzed the data I received which then informed my design process.
design process
The design process for this project was quite arduous considering this was a semester long endeavor. I created a 120+ page process book that detailed my entire design process which covered: survey research, storyboarding, creating a style guide, designing the vectors, animating them, sound design, designing the posters + postcards, and lastly setting up my physical installation.
installation
The desk installation allows the viewer to sit and enjoy the projection of the animation played while listening to the audio via headphones connected to the pico projector. The elements of the installation include: an animation which was projected via pico projector (created with Adobe After Effects), a 120+ page process book (created with Adobe InDesign), two posters: 24 x 36 in and 11 x 17 in (created with Adobe Illustrator), seven postcards (4 x 6 in) created from still frames of the animation, and my business cards (created with Adobe InDesign & Illustrator).
