ideations
Within the brainstorming phase of this project, I went through a plethora of ideas regarding not only the poster design, but how I wanted to depict the mudra and dance form as a whole. This representation was crucial to my design process as I felt like I was showcasing a part of myself and my culture that others had never seen.
photographs
As part of our assignment, we were tasked to take our own professional photographs to be featured on the poster in some way shape or form. I decided to photograph the 3 variations of the mudras, using one and both of my hands. I used my Canon 70D DSLR.

typography
Another element of our assignment was integrating our own unique typographic exploration of a letterform. I chose "K" as it is used multiple times in katakamuka. Here are my explorations from which I made my final typeface for the wordmark within my posters.
